Black and Gold Christmas

Hello everyone.

I am staying with Christmas on my blog this week and the fabulous Snowflake Sentiments stamp set from Stampin Up.

This time I have used a black and gold theme.

I even managed to use some of the Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper.  Some of the designs are gold foiled which also work perfectly for Christmas.

To make my card I mat and layered some white card stock onto some basic black.  I then added a strip of the Designer Series Paper down the side and also gave this a little border of basic black.

I then die cut 3 circles from the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies and stamped the snow flakes from the set into each using some gold embossing powder.

These framelit dies are my go to basic dies and the stitched edging makes them look so pretty.

Next I added the shapes to the card using some dimensionals and added my greeting and some of the pretty swirls in black ink.

I found the idea for the layout for the card over at Freshly Made Sketches.

I then went onto to create this fabulous self closing box using the same designer paper and stamp set.

To create the box I found lots of easy to follow tutorials over on U Tube please check them out.

I thought the box was going to be very difficult to put together put found it surprisingly easy.

I think it makes a lovely little gift and I love it when you can make a matching card.

The box is a really good size to fill with lots of yummy Christmas treats.

Please pop over to the Stampin up Website for more details and when placing an order please add me (Dawn Barwick), country (France) as your demonstrator.

Thanks for stopping by today.
