Welcome

Hello Everyone.

Its Friday and challenge time over at Daring Cardmakers.

This week our lovely host is Svenja and as we had a previous challenge making farewell cards this time is all about the welcome cards.  This could be a new Baby or new colleague you're welcoming or maybe a welcome back-card for a friend or family member.

For my card I went with New Baby but used yellow and green which could be for either girl or boy.

To make my card I mat and layered a piece of white card stock on to a piece of so saffron from Stampin Up and used the Pinewood Planks Textured Impressions embossing folder.

But before I used the embossing folder I used the Wood Words Clear Mount Set also from Stampin Up to create the pretty background.  I stamped the flowers in soft sea foam and the stars in so saffron.

Next I stamped the moon, star and heart from the same set and used the coordinating die set which you can find HERE to cut out the stamped images.

I then cut out a circle and  used the pinewood planks embossing folder to create more texture.  I added the shapes to this using some dimensionals.

For the greeting I die cut a smaller circle using the  Stitched Shapes Framelits die set and stamped the sentiment inside using the French version of Wood Words which is called Du Marché Bio.

A pretty card for a new baby but boy or girl.

Thanks for stopping by today and please pop over to the Daring Cardmakers blog for more lovely inspiration from the Design Team.

  1. Love it, too, Dawn! The white on white is so elegant and the structure adds another nice touch. (And I just realized that I use far too little yellow.)

  3. This is so lovely Dawn! The soft colours are beautiful and I love the way the embossing continues over the raised elements for a seamless texture - great card!
