Hello Everyone.
I am a little late posting this as I have had my children off school poorly and then every Wednesday in France the children don't have school.
For todays project I wanted to try out the Bokeh effect.
Bokeh
In photography, bokeh is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. Bokeh has been defined as "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light". Differences in lens aberrations and aperture shape cause some lens designs to blur the image in a way that is pleasing to the eye, while others produce blurring that is unpleasant or distracting. Bokeh occurs for parts of the scene that lie outside the depth of field. Photographers sometimes deliberately use a shallow focus technique to create images with prominent out-of-focus regions.
I have only tried this technique once and at the time I had no white ink and I ended up using bleach and a cotton bud to pull the ink off the paper.
So to create this effect I inked up a square of white card stock using different shades of green.
I then made a stencil by punching different size circles into some window sheet. I then placed this over the area where I wanted the circles to be and inked through the stencil with white ink to create the Bokeh effect.
Next I used the Follow Your Dreams Bundle and stamped the dream catcher in black and added the details with the flowers and feathers.
I then die cut the word dream in black card stock and added the stamped word in black ink.
I love the effect of this card and I must try and make it in other colours. I am not sure why I picked green but I love it with the black.
